The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is a four-hour computer adaptive test. It is used as a determining factor for admission to general graduate level degree programs in the United States. The test assesses the verbal, math, and analytical skills of applicants for graduate schools.
SECTIONS OF GRE
- ANALYTICAL WRITING:The Analytical Writing Section has two essays. One asks students to “present their perspective on an issue,” the other asks them to “analyze an argument.”
- QUANTITATIVE SECTION: The Quantitative Section tests high-school level math. The students will be required to be familiar with arithmetic, algebra, geometry and data analysis.
- VERBAL SECTION: The Verbal Section consists of sentence completion questions, analogies, antonyms & reading comprehension exercises.
